Great cotton but it is BULKY

This is a gorgeous cotton ribbon/ chainette yarn by Universal Yarn but it is a Bulky Weight cotton yarn at 120y per 100g, the ribbon is 0.5cm or a little over 1/8th inch wide. I am glad I didn't pay the original list price or order as many as I had originally wanted too (based on the DK category on this site). It isn't suited for any garment I can imagine. Bags, rugs, and belts are likely the most appropriate use. The yarn band suggests a 5.5mm hook but I am struggling with a 6mm hook to just make a FDC starting chain. Washing instructions are hand wash 30C, no dryer, no bleach, no ironing, etc. I'm sure it will make some beautiful macrame style items.

    Totally inaccurate description

This is a bulky ribbon yarn - cannot possibly be DK and is certainly not lightweight or in any way suitable for wearables. Only use would be for bags, rugs, mandala wall art or possibly, a table runner. I worked up 2 rows of dc as an example to see just how it looked/felt. Anyway, confirms that it would be ok for a bag. So, if that is what you are looking for - then this is for you. Also - Silver is not silver, but more of a neutral ecru. And given that I bought it in pink, rosy and silver to make lightweight wearables for my grandchildren, it is truly a disappointment. Pictures below are the not really "silver" color and example of how 2 rows of dc worked up with a 5.5 mm hook [recommeded size per label. Truly, my first not wonderful experience with shopping at Premier.
