Bloom is an easy-care, DK weight yarn with a range of colors from traditional to modern. This self-patterning yarn creates a floral or dot print at any gauge*; in knit or crochet. Generous yardage means fewer ends to join and less interruption of the stitch pattern, allowing you to make blankets, sweaters, toys, and accessories with ease.
If you want closer to the floral pattern look, you will need to follow the recommended gauge.
Knit vs Crochet with Bloom® - We recommend using single crochet stitches at the gauge listed above for best results when crocheting with this yarn. Keep in mind, your finished crochet fabric will look different than a finished knitted fabric would, due to the fact that crochet stitches vary greatly in width/and height and knit stitches are more consistent.

Bloom dk is a great yarn. Soft and the pattern is wonderful. I will be buying more of This DK in the future. I am making a cardigan and I think it will be lovely when finished.

I recently ordered six skeins of Bloom DK, three Hydrangea and three Apricot Blossom. I love the color combinations of each color scheme but am disappointed in the difference in softness. The Hydrangea skeins are so soft and worked up beautifully, resulting in two very soft blankets. The Apricot Blossom yarn is, sadly, not even close to being as soft as the Hydrangea. This is very disappointing as I make preemie blankets and I'm concerned the two Apricot Blossom blankets are not going to be soft enough. I still have not yet decided if I will send the two Apricot Blossom blankets or not, which I spent a lot of time and effort making, and unfortunately, I'm now hesitant to purchase other colors as I cannot be sure they will be soft enough. If I had ordered only the Hydrangea, I would give a 5 for Quality and rate it Soft; because of the almost roughness of the Apricot Blossom, I cannot give those high ratings.
