I have been using 100% polyester weight 5 yarn for several years, making blankets for cancer patients, babies and myself :). The yarn is substantial, yet the blankets don’t weigh you down. They wash very well. The yarn is pricey, but isn’t everything today. Very few breaks in the cones.

Th is so soft and squishy and the color is awesome. The only negative is as soon as I got it home it was on sale. I asked for an adjustment and never got an answer either way. In any event Premiere is my favorite online store. I also LOVE the fruit yarns. They make great sock
